Why is the Multi-Touch test important?
The screens of modern mobile phones and tablets use capacitive technology that allows them to detect more than one touch point at a time. However, not all cell phones support the same amount. With this test, you can literally put all your fingers on the screen to test its hardware limit.
- Crucial for Gamers: Popular games like PUBG, Free Fire or Call of Duty Mobile require using up to 4 or 6 fingers at the same time on the screen (to run, aim, shoot and jump). If your cell phone only supports 2 or 3 touches, you will have a big disadvantage.
- Musical Applications: Playing a virtual piano or drum kit on a tablet requires support for more than 5 simultaneous taps to make complex chords.
- Check hardware faults: If you have a modern high-end cell phone (which should handle 10 touches) but our test sticks at 2, you could have a faulty generic replacement screen installed.
