What is the purpose of knowing my resolution?
The screen resolution (for example, 1920x1080) determines the number of pixels that fit on your monitor. The higher this number, the sharper the image and the more space you will have to organize your windows.
- Standard Resolutions: 1366x768 (HD), 1920x1080 (Full HD), 2560x1440 (2K) and 3840x2160 (4K).
- Window vs Screen: You'll notice that your browser size is almost always smaller than your actual resolution. This is due to the taskbar, tabs and borders.
- Windows Zoom: If you have Windows zoom set to 125% or 150%, your web-detected resolution will look smaller than what it says on the box of your monitor. It's completely normal!
