Does your recording sound very quiet?
If you notice that when playing your audio the volume is too low, don't worry, it is usually a setting of your operating system. Follow these steps to fix it:
- On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Sound > Record Tab. Double click on your microphone, go to the tab Levels and make sure the volume is at 100%.
- On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Sound > Input. Select your microphone and adjust the "Input Volume" slider to the right.

What format is the audio saved in?
To ensure maximum compatibility and lightweight, the recorder uses your browser's default container format. In Google Chrome and Firefox, your audio will be saved as a file .webm, while in Safari (Apple) it could be saved as .mp4. These formats can be played on almost any modern player.
